And let’s not forget the loaded dreidel from last year.

I’m still writing thank you cards but breaking to start a page.

On October 9, 2016 we had a service for Grandma at Calvary Hospital. She fell, went to hospital and was told she had stage 4 cancer. She died a month after this picture was taken. It was nice I could have a special bat mitzvah service for her. Some of her friends were there to support her including Barbara (her besty), Renee (her temporary roommate and travel partner) and Jill (neighbor)

On October 27, 2016 we had a service at school.
Since we can’t use electronics on Saturday, we had to tape the bima practice on Thur day night. I read my speech and read the blessings before and after and the entire Haftorah.

Here’s the speech.

And on Saturday night, Oct. 29, 2016 – THE PARTY!

On Wednesday, met my mom’s city hairdresser Aki. He’s amazing.
Thursday, Mom and I walked all around the city. We started at 143rd and Riverside Drive and walked to Lincoln Center (66th street). She showed me some of the apartment buildings she used to live in. I liked all of them. The Superintendent from her co-op remembered her. He let us walk around inside. The lobby was beautiful. We had lunch and stopped by Lincoln Center to buy
student tickets for Friday’s performance of Mark Morris and TKTS for Kinky Boots that night. There was an interview with Mark and the Dean of Julliard prior to Mark Morris to talk about the musicality of his dancers. It was inspiring.

Loved Kinky Boots. Had argument with mom because I couldn’t understand her reference to Rocky Horror. The Broadway Lottery works. We won An American in Paris. Still waiting to win Hamilton. I thought An American in Paris was just OK. Mom said the casting director had no vision.
Cleaning up –
Bye Bye Silly Bands.
