“Yeah. Uuhu.Kay.” I mumbled between the small “click” of my mouse.
It was a hot sweaty summer day, July 2014. I sat in the air-conditioned office sweating as I worked. The air was humid in the kitchen so I barely ate all day., but despite the hotness and my hunger I was happy, I didn’t care.
“Click!Drag. Drop.”
When I received message 201.30 jump, turn and switch dimensions to 4. Change variable to 0… Blah. Blah. Blah..” I was clicking away programming the most awesome game ever.
“Aliza are you ready? We have to go to your figure skating lesson now!” my mom called. Oh no, what do I do! I race to my room, slip on my pants, pull on a T-shirt, and shove on my sneakers. “Mom! I’m ready!” I call back.
I assumed the lesson was at three 0’clock, not two-thirty. Quickly, I slip on a head-band and grab a pony-tail holder.
We hop in the car. Whew! I might have missed my lesson, then I couldn’t learn the flying camel! Well, next time I won’t forget!
“Come on let’s go” shouted Larry the snail! “pant, pant” panted Kala the inchworm. “This is so hard!” “Attention get in your starting positions!” Screamed the referee, “on your mark, get set, go!” Kala tried as hard as she could but Jeffery and Lance, fellow inchworms pasted her she stayed at her own pace and when Jeffery, Lance, and Larry got tired she struck. She went the fastest she ever went and pasted the finished line first, and won the gold medal, first place.
The next day she found herself in a newspaper and smiled.
