“Yeah. Uuhu.Kay.” I mumbled between the small “click” of my mouse.
It was a hot sweaty summer day, July 2014. I sat in the air-conditioned office sweating as I worked. The air was humid in the kitchen so I barely ate all day., but despite the hotness and my hunger I was happy, I didn’t care.
“Click!Drag. Drop.”

“Aliza are you ready? We have to go to your figure skating lesson now!” my mom called. Oh no, what do I do! I race to my room, slip on my pants, pull on a T-shirt, and shove on my sneakers. “Mom! I’m ready!” I call back.
I assumed the lesson was at three 0’clock, not two-thirty. Quickly, I slip on a head-band and grab a pony-tail holder.
We hop in the car. Whew! I might have missed my lesson, then I couldn’t learn the flying camel! Well, next time I won’t forget!

Two young girls lived by the beach. One’s parents died in a boating accident, the others father left the family. One day there is a very big storm. The tide gets so high that it fills into a nearby pool. In the morning the two friends go outside to the pool. In the pool they find a mermaid. They come in the morning to the pool and it is drained. The girls find the mermaid with legs in the pool shack. The mermaid is searching for love because Neptune, her father, says she has to marry a stuck up rich man, and Aquamarine, the mermaid, wants to marry someone she loves. So Aqua ran away to find love and is now here with the girls. They soon create friendship and are on a quest for love.

I once knew a girl she was only three years old and four
We played with each others toys, rode each others bikes
Our friendship lasted almost eight years
I thought we were going to be friends forever
But than one day she didn’t want to be my friend no more
All the years of joyment we had shared
The games we had played
She went to another school in another town
She said she didn’t have no time to spend we me any longer
The memories have since long faded away
We played for hours from down to dusk
All those years we shared joy but no sorrow
Neither did she wanted to help a boy in need
Stuck with his wellie in the mud
Leave him she said, he’s a bully
When the boy cried for help once more
My brother rushed to his aid
And my friend run off home calling angry words at us

I truly could not find my head.
I even looked under my bed.
So I went on a walk and sat on a rock,
Wondered what I was thinking instead.
Today at school Michael Rex came to visit. June 9, 2014. I never read any of his books. He writes parodies of children’s books. Goodnight Goon or Runaway Mummy. Mom says it’s like MAD Magazine for the kids set. Here’s a drawing he made for me.
